This record is an audio diary, and i'm letting you read it.

After a harrowing year, I decided to face my own demon, myself, and take a trip across the U.S.A. on my own. The only thing I took with me bar my essentials was my OP-1 synth which has the capability to record 4 tracks of audio, including it's own drum and synth engines, microphone and sampler.
I made a track every day when I found a view or a location that I wanted to put into music, then scoured the radio for something interesting.

My intention for this record is that it should be listened to as a non-coherent sketchbook or diary. It is a document of not just the locations, but my mood, my awareness and most importantly my loneliness.
Think of it as a soundtrack to the movie i saw through my eyes for two weeks, then instead of transcribing it to a blog, i transcribed it to music with my love for Hype Williams/John Carpenter/Boards of Canada in mind. It is more an art installation than a coherent album.

I resisted the urge to alter anything or really mix/master this record properly. I wanted what you hear to be the most like what I created at the time.

YULA and JAD are two characters from my favourite animation Les Maitres du Temps. They stow away on a spacecraft looking for adventure.

I am really happy that I did this trip, and transcribed it into this. I hope you enjoy getting an idea of how my brain worked while I was over there.

Mostly altered and distorted from their original form, and I do not know any of the tracks they are actually sampled from, or who they belong to.
